Lacquer Channel Mastering first opened in the early 1970s. Founded by super producers Jack Richardson and Bob Ezrin, they recruited George Graves from The Mastering Lab in California. George still works at Lacquer Channel Today. 

Lacquer Channel is Canada’s best equipped Mastering Studio. We have 3 award winning Mastering Engineers and 2 world class Mastering Suites. Our gear selection is second to none and revivals any masting studio in the World. We are the only studios in Canada with the famed 400 series Sontec Mastering EQs. We also are the only studios in Canada to have our equipment built and modified by the world renown tech Chris Muth, who has built equipment for Sterling Sound Mastering Studios in New York. 

All of Lacquer Channel’s Mastering Engineers are dedicated Mastering Engineers. We don’t do mixing or recording. We are the only mastering studio in Canada that can say that. 

We accept pretty much any format you have. Files; aif, wav, sd2 – up to 32 bit 192khz, MP3 (but you’ll hear us groan), 1/4″ or 1/2″ tape, DAT, Cassette, CD, F1, 1630, Vinyl Record.
